Innovation Through Collaboration
Progress in cancer research is most quickly accomplished through collaboration and partnership, through sharing of both successes and challenges in discovery. To facilitate this, The Hope Foundation supports SWOG’s bi-annual group meetings, where over 2,000 physician-researchers and oncology professionals convene each year to share results, innovate, and present novel ideas for future progress.
Committee Support for Group Meetings
The Hope Foundation provides both administrative and financial support to enhance every group meeting experience. SWOG disease, research, and administrative committee chairs are provided the opportunity to request up to $15,000 annually from The Hope Foundation to strengthen committee efforts at group meetings which are not currently funded by the NCTN or NCORP grants. Funds may be used for invited speakers, special A/V needs, and more. See application for committee group meeting funds.
Travel Funding Opportunities
The foundation also has in place mechanisms to assist with member travel to group meetings. There are three types of funding offered through Hope:
Continuing Medical Education
The Hope Foundation is an accredited Continuing Medical Education provider through the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education and is proud to provide professional education sessions based on transparency, scientific integrity, and industry best practice.
